Gonoodle.com is an extremely important part of our day. We all can get a little squirrelly after focusing so hard and for so long on our school work and assessments. The videos you will find on Gonoodle are quick and help to get our bodies moving and our brains refocused. We love doing directed movement or free dances! Get up and try some with your kiddos at home!
Last week we had some very specials guest visit the K-3 classes. 3 of the top Rodeo Girls from the Lost Dutchman Days came to share with us and teach us about the rodeo. We learned how to barrel race, and even how to rope a calf! Our own Karma even got a shot at it! She just may be a future rodeo girl herself! If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Lost Dutchman Days of Apache Junction make sure to check it out!
We have some telling time experts in Kindergarten! Our friends have been working really hard to master telling time on the analog clocks. We’ve been trying to remember a few little tricks. The long minute hand is like a gentleman and the short hour hand is like a lady. When we’re reading the clock we have to be polite and read the lady hand first, which means we’d say the hour that the lady is pointing to then o’clock. This has really helped to remind us how to read the time to the hour. Keep practicing at home to master those skills!
We did some predicting in Kindergarten at the end of the week! Even though we had more people think that the Carolina Panthers were going to win we have some very strong willed Broncos fans in our class! Check out our cutting skills on our football players! WOW! They did a fantastic job!
