Third Grade Flash Mob

This week our class read Little Grunt and the Big Egg, by Tomie de Paola, which is a fictional story about a dinosaur We also read a nonfiction story about the discovery of a fossilized Tyrannosaurus Rex, nicknamed Sue, As we learned about dinosaurs we listened to a song called “Dinosaur Stomp” by Koo Koo Kangaroo. We found out that there was a dance to got along with the song; you can learn how to do it here.

The third graders in our class, Mrs. Moore’s class, Mrs. Avery’s class, and Ms. Myer’s class all practiced the dance in our classrooms. Then we decided to do a flash mob! A flash mob is when a group of people surprises another group of people by performing in front of them. When we walked out to the basketball court today to perform our dance, we think the kids at recess were definitely surprised! You can watch our performance below (please excuse the shaky camera work!)
