Mrs. Carney's Kindergarten Class

Just another Apache Junction Unified School District Edublogs site

My kindergarten class has been learning about bats.  Today I put my students into 6 groups of 4.  Each group was given a sheet of mosquitoes.  They had to decide as a team how they were going to cut all of them out.  Then the had to sort them into groups of 10.  The end product was they learned that a bat eats 600 mosquitoes in one hour.  The students worked very well in teams.  IMG_20131107_135812 IMG_20131107_141903

Our class enjoyed your Christmas card and your blog.

We learned about bats, too! People in our class learned about different kinds of bats. All of us researched our bats with computers and books. We took notes about what we learned. Then we made a slide show about our bats using a program called Frames during computer class.

Our class has a blog too. Please visit us at

    See you soon!
