  1. The scuba was what helped us explore the ocean. The scuba was able to dive about 100 feet. It can go down to the Pelagic zone. The discovery of the scuba was that when they made the scuba they could investigate and learn about new animals that a human can learn after they discover it. Scientist could go way deeper then usual. The scuba was really helpful to their culture and our culture. Children in school are learning so much from them.

  2. SCUBA, or Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus, helped us humans to breathe underwater. Before Scuba, we could only go underwater down to about 15 feet. Now with scuba we can go about 30 meters. This helped us discover new life forms and zones in the sea. It was invented in the 1870’s. Jacques Cousteau was the inventor of it.

  3. I thought the Cell Theory was an interesting topic so, I researched it. The Cell Theory is one of the foundations of biology. This scientific theory describes the properties of cells and helps people understand the purpose why cells are needed. It refers to the idea that cells are the basic unit structure in every living objects. The theory says that new cells are formed by existing cells to create living objects. The development of this theory was during the 17th mid century made possible by microscopy. The Cell Theory has impact the world by letting people know what the purpose of cells are and what they are.

  4. One of the most important things is that you should never hold your breath while scuba diving. The most popular diving spot is the Florida Keys. It is best to only go about 60ft or 18m while scuba diving. Scuba stands for Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. Every thirty-three feet it increases by one bar. Things are thirty-three percent larger due to light refraction.

  5. Sonar is short for Sound Navigation and Ranging. It explores and maps the ocean floor and shipwrecks. There are Active and Passive sonar. Active sonar is an signal or pulse of sound in the water. Passive sonar detects noises from marine objects and marine animals. Active sonar also bounces sounds off of objects and returns an echo. Passive sonar also does not emit its own signal. Sonar has helped the world to help detect ships and animals.

  6. The scuba gear helped many scientist with their marine research. The original name for it was the Aqua Lung. It was invented by Jacques Cousteau in 1943. He made scientist use it to discover more of the sea. Even though it could only go down a certain depth, it helped many people in its life time.

  7. Scuba is one of the most amazing scientific milestones of all time. Scuba stands for self contained underwater breathing apparatus and was first called the Aqua Lung. The first model of Scuba was created in 1943 and was invented by Jacques Cousteau. Scuba can reach depths as far as 130 feet, but after 100 feet nitrogen narcosis could effect you which could result you entering a decompression chamber. Scuba was also used in WWII to detect bombs and disable them. This invention has changed history and many people today.

  8. Satellites help track the ocean currents all around the world. It’s also used to monitor ocean temp. The Satellite is used for a lot of stuff such as, giving us power from the sun and gives us WiFi. It also helps us see a better view of the earth and help us learn how clouds are formed and stuff like that. And it also tells us if a meteor or an asteroid is coming through the atmosphere. The satellite gets its power from the sun and reflects it toward earth for internet. T.V signals & phone calls were sent toward the satellite and sent back with the calls and T.V signals come back in different directions.

  9. Clones:
Clones are identical genetic copies of something.Clones are created in a lab and can be born years apart.Cloning is tested on animals such as cows ,sheep, pigs, mice, and horses.
Chromosomes are the genes and DNA that make you who you are.
Humans have 23 pairs chromosomes while cows have 30 pairs. Your child would get a certain amount of chromosomes(but you would have no control which ones). The whole process of of cloning is deciding what chromosomes scientist want, not at random. Scientist conduct these experiments on animals, for example, Dolly the sheep was the first animal to be cloned.
Cloned animals do experience health problems. Dolly died at six years old because of a rare lung disease. It is believed the genes are the cause of these problems.
Milk and meat from these animals are said to be safe by the government. Some argue “You are what you eat.” which leaves people disgusted.

  10. GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms) are plants and animals that have been genetic engineering from bacteria and viruses. Crop plants, farm animals, and soil bacteria are organisms that have been subject to genetic engineering. The majority amount of people in America want to know if there are food that contains GMO. Agricultural plants are one of the most frequent of GMO. Genetic engineering are increased crop fields. Greater food security and medical benefits to the world’s growing population. GMO reduce costs for food, enhanced nutrient composition and food quality, and resistance of pests and diseases.

  11. S.C.U.B.A is also known as Self-Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. The S.C.U.B.A suite was invented be Jacques Cousteau in 1819. Its first name was the diving suite. It allows you to dive to at least 100-130 feet below the surface. It allows you to dive without an air line that leads back up to the surface. It helped navy divers in World War II.

The first ever clone was a sea urchin. In 1981 the first mammal which was a sheep was created by cloning. In 2001 endangered animals were cloned. Cloning has helped save a few endangered species. Cloning can be negative, the person or animal being cloned may not react how the scientists want them to.

  18. The scuba is also known as the aqualung. Scuba means self contained underwater breathing apparatus. the aqualung lets you breath underwater. It was invented in the 1940s. Scuba has let the world dive deeper into the ocean. the aqualung lets people take longer and safer dives.

  19. The satellite helped by going to space and getting information about it. In October 1957, was the first satellite to orbit space. Then in November 1957, was the first to carry a living object in it. The satellite was a artificial object that is sent to space usually to send or receive information on different ares. They are normally launched on rockets. Two main parts of the satellite is the antenna which is used to send and receive information. And the power source and it is like a battery or the solar panel.

  20. The microscope helped scientist take a huge leap forward on the research of tiny organisms. In 1590 people started using the lenses that lead up to the invention of the microscope. All GMO’s are engineered to direct application of herbicide or to produce an insecticide. GMO’s connect with health problems, environmental damage, and violation of farmers rights.

  41. GMOs, or genetically modified organisms, are organisms whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. GMOs are engineered with DNA from bacteria, viruses, or other plants and animals. These experimental combinations of genes from different species cannot occur in nature or in traditional crossbreeding. Virtually all commercial GMOs are engineered to withstand direct application of herbicide and/or to produce an insecticide. Even though polls consistently show that a significant majority of Americans want to know if the food they purchase contains GMOs, the powerful biotech lobby has succeeded in keeping this information from the public. In the U.S., GMOs are in as much as 80% of conventional food.

  42. Lasers were invented in the 1950’s. Lasers are also used for eye surgery. Many people use them for reading CD’s. Lasers are made out of a solid, liquid and gas. They can cut through the hardest metal. That is what i learned about lasers.

  43. The cells are very helpful. They have a very busy job to do they work 24/7 in order of keeping you alive. Before they knew what cells were people didn’t know why people got sick. In 1665 Robert Hooke discovered the cell. Animals aren’t the only thing that has cells plants also have cells. Both of the cells have certain things in them.

They figured out that they could clone both humans and animals.

  46. Cloning first started with animals. A lot of animal have been cloned. Germans have been involved in cloning. Clones are exact copies of living thing. Clones DNA is exactly the same as the organism being cloned. The way cloning has helped the world is by, helping scientist better understand the human body. Also, helping scientist understand human body diseases.

  47. The microscope changed the worlds education. The microscope help us discover many things about our body’s. It was used to look closely at small things. The red blood cells were discovered by a microscope. Those who used the microscope tend to looking at organisms. Lots of thing wouldn’t be possible without the microscope.

  48. The microscope was created in the 1590’s. Zacharias Jansen created the first compound microscope.Since then they have help find diseases in peoples blood.
