I am an Arizona native, born and raised in Gilbert. I went to Arizona State University. Go Devils!! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in curriculum and instruction. I started my career working in Chandler as an instructional aide, then I became a long term sub and eventually got my first teaching job there! After my first year, I moved out to AJUSD, and haven’t looked back since! I have taught for 6 years, 5 of which have been here in AJ. I love my job!
I have an amazing family that all live here and see them as often as possible. I am the oldest of 3 kids. Sam is 23 and Kenzie is 20. They both live in Idaho and got to school there. My mom is a retired teacher and my biggest inspiration. I have 2 dogs, Biggie and Hazel, who take up a lot of my free time. (Yes, they are my kids!)
When I am not at school, working on school stuff or thinking about school, I love to hike, travel, cook, ride my bike, watch movies (Netflix is my new best friend!), read and be with my friends and family. I also love all things Disney, I’m a big kid at heart!
I am so excited for the upcoming year and am ready to get started! I am so happy to be at Four Peaks again this year and to be starting another new adventure in 6th grade! This will be my 3rd year teaching 6th grade! I love science and social studies and can’t wait to share my love for these subjects with my students!
