Mrs. Bliss' Dragon's Den

Student Blogging Challenge # 3, Adding Widgets to our Blog

My students searched the internet for our blogs new mascot, a baby female Dragon that displays different feelings, or emotions, when you scroll over her.  Go ahead and try it, you will surprised at all the things she can do!  Faithie found her at  CuteKi Pin Widgets     If you would like your own baby dragon on your site, just click on the link, go to your blog, click on Dashboard, Appearance, Widgets, and slide “Texts” over to the right.  Paste the embed code from CuteKi, and name your dragon!  Hit save, and you have her as your blogs mascot, or pet.

We also added Google Translator to enable people from around the world to comment and read our class blog.  You can get your own Google Translator  for your blog, also.

These widgets were added in response to Student Blogging Challenge # 3.

Can you please help us name our new baby female Dragon?

What widgets have you added to your blog that have made a difference to other bloggers visiting your site?

Can you comment and send a link back to your site so we can see your blog mascot, or pet, please?

    Hi Mrs. Bliss and class,

Your new mascot is adorable! I had fun seeing the different things she’d do when I’d scroll over her with my mouse. I’m proud of you for learning how to place her on your blog!

Wishing you and your students a restful Fall Break,
    Mrs. Watanabe

    Hi Tracy,
Thank you so much for your comment. It means a lot to me. I was actually in the process of typing an email to you earlier today to request your help on adding the two new widgets, our female dragon mascot, and our Google Translator, to our class blog. Then I spotted Mrs. W.’s detailed instructions on how to do just that!

I was able to add both of the new widgets to our class blog, give instructions on how to add new widgets, and in the process learned how to add more Vokis that my very new student bloggers had created to Challenge 1.

Each time I am able to add to our class blog, correctly, I always say thank you, to you, for always being there for me and my kids! This class blog would not be here with out you, your time investment, and your care and effort. Thank you so very much:)

    Thank you again Tracy!
    Karen, and my kids:)
