For the Student Blogging Challenge #5, I am writing about math in the real world. I am writing about the number eight.

I made this on Pages with my mommy’s help.
What else comes in eights?
Do you have eight fun facts to share about tarantulas or anything else?

We had Constitution Day a few weeks ago.

The Constitution is important because it keeps you safe. It has rules to keep us safe.

My Constitution Buddy that I made.

I heard my mom and my brother talking about the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and they were on this site

What did you do for Constitution Day?
What have you learned about our Constitution?

I am learning about ants at school. I learned that they walk and walk, dig and dig, and lift and lift. They work together as a team. They also can bite people, so look out for ants!

My mom found this fun and interactive site about ants.

Here’s a video from National Geographic about ants. I liked this one.

What can ants do?
Where do they live?
What do you know about ants?

For Student Blogging Challenge #2, I’m going to tell about the festivals in our area. I know of one of them and my friend, Serena, will help write the other two because she has been to them.

(I think) Red Baron & me

1. Japanese Matsuri Festival
We got to see the drums, and there was lots of food. People were dressed up in anime costumes or traditional Japanese clothes.

2. Lost Dutchman Rodeo Days
There are so many people, and horses. There is bronc riding and barrel racing. The food is amazing, and the music is great!

3. Renaissance Festival

The Renaissance Festival shows you what it was like to live in Medieval  times. There are people dressed in costumes and interacting with you. There are people running around interacting with you like you are one of them. They have giant turkey legs too!

If you were visiting us, which festival sounds the most interesting to you?

For Student Blogging Challenge #1, I want to update my About Me page and change one of the pictures. I want to take off the picture of me with the star fish. Which picture should I put there instead?

1. Here I am with a nice smile.
“A nice smile.”

2. I’m being goofy. I put my shin guards on my head and pretended they were ears.
“Goofy me.”

3. A picture of me playing soccer.
“Soccer me.”

4. I love drawing and art.
“Artist me.”

Please vote to tell me which one you think I should use:

Do you know who I wanted to dress up as for Halloween? I wanted to dress as Mr. “Davo” Devil, but since I’m a girl and Mr. Davo is traveling with Miss W, I decided to dress as Mr. Davo’s cousin, Davida.

I also got to play some Halloween games on our iPad. My favorites were:

Tiny Zoo Friends — I really like this one a lot. You can buy trees, a house, animals, humans, and restaurants. You get your money by doing jobs and picking up the food.

I made so much art too!

I loved my Halloween.

>Curious George Stays with Em

Our class mascot is Curious George. Every weekend George gets to go home with someone from class because he can’t stay at school all by himself. The Principal picked my name this time, so George got to stay with me!

I’ll tell you a little about it on my Audioboo:
Curious George (mp3)

Look at my Capzles story pictures and play the video on my on the last slide to see what we did this weekend.

I had so much fun with George! My favorite was going to the Arizona Sea Life Aquarium, but they had the big shark exhibit and turtle exhibit closed. I told George it would be okay because I’ll go again some time and make a video for him to watch on my blog.

What do you think George’s favorite was?
If George went to your house, what would he say was his favorite?
>Let’s Talk about Food

I wrote this for Blog Action Day, which I learned about through the Student Blogging Challenge.

I wrote it because some people don’t have food.

Here is my story about food in our lives:

How can you help people get food?
What do you like to eat with your family?
