Yellowstone National Park

We have been loving all of the Skypes and video conferences that have connected our classroom to the outside world. So I, Mrs. Avery, tried to get as many connections as I could. An awesome website that I found was Skype in the Classroom. It’s an awesome resource of teachers and companies from around the world that are dying to Skype with people. Well, I checked everyday to see who we could Skype with and I found that Yellowstone National Park has an education program that allows students to Skype with park rangers! I immediately signed up for that knowing my students would adore hearing about the wildlife and natural wonders that the park houses. And…I was right! Here is a video of our Skype with Ranger Mike.

They also sent us some awesome information about the park and some activities that we could do. Next week we will be participating in the Wildlife Olympics so watch out for that blog post!

What would be something you would want to see in Yellowstone National Park?

What other National Parks would you want to visit and why?
