How do I embed HTML on my website or blog?

I am often asked, “How do I embed HTML on my website or blog?” This post will walk you through how to do it.

Step 1: Copy the Embed Code.

Step 2: I remember wishing there was a sign saying, “Insert HERE” to guide where to paste the HTML code — and that’s when this idea came to mind. Type in all capitals the word HERE in the exact place you want to place the item you are embedding.

Step 3: Click the HTML button on your website or blog to go to the HTML editing screen.

If you are in SchoolWorld, look for it in the bottom left corner. In Edublogs, look at the upper right corner of the editing menu.

Don’t worry if your words looks different, that’s the HTML code. Just look for your HERE that you typed. Highlight the word HERE, then paste the HTML text over that word.

Step 4: Go back to the Design or Visual editing screen you were previously on by clicking the button.

You may not be able to see what you embedded from this screen until you publish it, but it should be embedded now.

Were you successful with embedding the HTML?

Do you have any questions about embedding?
