Unjournaling

Today we did something a little different during writing. We used a writing prompt from Unjournaling by Dawn DiPrince and Cheryl Miller Thurston. This book is full of prompts that are not boring! Today’s prompt:

What advice would a DOG give about life, if it could talk? Write that advice.

Here’s what Antony had to say about a dog giving advice.

My advice to you about life is to be careful on the road because you might get crushed. Some more advice is not to poop on the rug, and to not smell others’ poop. Also, do not fall for the ball trick, and run after as many cats as you can! Do not bark at people, it makes them mad. When your owners take you in the shower, make sure you get them wet. My last advise to you is that if someone is mad at you, make sad and cute eyes.

Peyton wrote,

If I were a dog the advice I would give about life would be everyday you wake up, you should stretch, give it a wiggle, and call it a great day. Also, you should go outside and run around chasing squirrels to get some exercise. Last, you should bark every time you need something.

What advise do you think a talking dog would give you?
