A Peak Inside Our Classroom

Meet our third grade class!

We decided to have our student of the week take pictures to help document our daily activities. Meet our student of the week! She helped take pictures of the classroom so fellow bloggers would have a spectacular view of our daily experiences.

Each morning we start our day with our “Morning Meeting.” We get a chance to reflect on something we did good yesterday, something we will do better today, and something that is making us feel happy or sad. We wrap it up with a handshake and a good morning with our elbow neighbors, then it’s back to work!

This is our math corner. We have every manipulative you could imagine to help us learn all about math. This is also where we find the estimation jar and the iPods!

We’ve already had the change to use lots of technology. We have computers, netbooks, iPods, iPads and an Interactive Whiteboard. Check back on our blog to find out the fabulous ways we put this technology to work in the classroom.

What are you most excited to try in your classroom this year?

What looks most interesting to you about our classroom?

  4. Dear, Mrs.Moore’s class,

I think that putting dinosaur’s in our class would be so cool it will make it more hard. so I think next time you should put counters in a jar that would be so complicated I like hard stuff

    your new friend ,Alazay

    • Dear Alazay,

Thank you for your comment. I’m glad to hear you liked the dinosaurs. I think you are right, counters would be really tough! Maybe we should save that one for a little later in the year. It is great you like to do difficult tasks, it means you are using your thinking skills. What types of things do you think are hard?

      Your teacher,

      Mrs. Moore

  5. Dear Mrs.Moore,

What will we be learning this year? What will be in the estimation jar next?

    • Dear Joseph,

Thank you for your comment. This year we will be learning many new things in reading, writing, math and science! You will learn to multiply and divide, write 5 paragraph essays, and read chapter books. As for our estimation jar, come to school tomorrow and find out!

      Your teacher,

      Mrs. Moore
